Everyone in the Conservative Party believes in a core set of principles that we want to see put into action.  We have Members of the European Parliament, MPs and more councillors than any other Party in Britain.

Association Officers: the local members elect the Association Officers at each Annual General Meeting.  The Association Officers form the Management Team which takes the day to day decisions affecting the local Party.

MEPs: Bury used to have one Member of the European Parliament.  In 1999, the Government changed the system for electing MEPs and Wallasey is now part of the single 'North West Region' constituency which means there are nine MEPs for this area: three Conservative, three Labour, two Liberal Democrat and one UKIP.

Councillors: here in Bury we have a growing team of 23 councillors, alongside our energetic candidates. We have enjoyed considerable electoral success in recent years with the result that we now have a forward-looking Council with a Conservative Executive.

Members: we rely heavily on members to make our organisation a success.  Since David Cameron was elected Leader, the Party nationally has signed up another 16,000 new members.  Every new member makes us that bit stronger.
